Illusions, illusions,
All around here...
Some produce happiness,
Some to produce fear.
Could you pour me a bowl,
Of reality soup?
To clear out my head,
And put me back in the loop?
It's easy to get suckered,
By disinformation,
The propaganda you've seen,
Is certainly entertaining!
Too many illusions,
We need to discuss,
Let's tackle the big ones,
That need to be crushed,
Beware of spiritual hucksters,
Who make wild assertions,
Of spooky old prophecies
Or mystical conversions,
They're all guided by voices,
To say very the least,
Especially those delusional,
Afraid of fiery beasts!
Or believers in silly things,
Like reptilians and extraterrestrial beings,
Who sneak into your room,
And probe you while you're sleeping!
Christ was a hero, but Christians went blind,
Magic can't compare to the power of your mind,
The Mayans were creative,
But their society failed,
I question new age profiteers,
Holding apocalyptic sales!
Plus, aliens haven't contacted us yet...
(Since they'd be killed or put in jail!)
Maybe our civilization will fail,
And maybe we're destined to die,
But I think that's a silly conclusion,
And I'll tell you exactly why.
All one needs to do,
Is use the power to choose...
Focus on what we have to gain,
And NOT what we had to loose.
With determination in our hearts,
And love inside our gut,
We create a plan to fix the things,
Which we must overcome.
Godot won't show up,
As we painfully have learned,
Waiting time is over - now we must return
To a mind set where we love so much,
We vanquish fear and hate,
We are the the ones we've waited for,
WE DECIDE our fate.
When I'm feeling weak and powerless,
Like nothing matters at all,
I gaze upon the heroes, pictured on my wall.
Malcolm X, Joan of Arc, Jefferson and Paine,
Lennon, Ghandi, Galileo, and many other names,
All who pierced a darkened world,
With honesty and light,
We are them, and they are us, and we will do what's right.
